‘Overpriced’ ‘Not Worth More Than £30M’ Fans Discuss Reports That Liverpool And Arsenal Want £51M Rated Defender

Willian Pacho

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany reports that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho is still a target for Liverpool and Arsenal.

Both teams have reportedly been keeping an eye on the Ecuadorian international for several months, and the journalist asserts that they are still interested in him before the summer transfer market opens.

Liverpool’s center of defense options will need to be strengthened.

Joel Matip’s contract is set to expire at the end of June, thus it looks like he will be leaving Anfield, hence reinforcements at center-half are needed. But most Reds supporters on X aren’t too excited about signing the center back, with Pacho asking for between €50 million (£43 million) and €60 million (£51 million).

Pacho is one of Europe’s most promising young defenders, and his left foot may help make him a more desirable target. Whether he is worth his stated asking price is debatable, though.

The next manager will decide on any signings.

Even after Jurgen Klopp declared he would be leaving the team at the end of the season, chief scouts Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter have not stopped seeing possible targets.

Any final transfer decisions, meanwhile, will need to wait until the team names Klopp’s replacement. Right now, the recruitment team is keeping a close eye on a number of players, including Pacho.
