Major development taking place as Sources reveals next step by FSG

Significant progress is being made as Sources disclose FSG’s next move.

The Boston Celtics are an NBA team that the owners of Liverpool, the Fenway Sports Group (FSG), are reportedly interested in purchasing.

This could imply that Lebron James, one of the FSG investors, ends up owning the Boston Celtics, the Lakers’ bitter rivals.

Considerations for Fenway Sports Group to Acquire the Boston Celtics

“Sources close to the situation said that Boston Red Sox owner Fenway Sports Group and RedBird Capital, who work closely with LeBron James, are seriously considering bidding for the Celtics.”

FSG owns the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Red Sox in addition to Liverpool. The sports cable network NESN is owned by FSG as well.

The Celtics are being sold in two phases, with the sale of 49% of the franchise not happening until 2028. Lebron James could have easily retired by then and taken over ownership of Celtic.

Additionally, Fenway Sports Group attempted to buy Bordeaux, a French team, but the deal fell through. Bordeaux was forced to file for bankruptcy and drop to the fourth division of France as a result.

The Boston Celtics’ owners are looking to sell the franchise for $6 billion, despite the fact that they earn no money at all. Lebron and the Fenway Sports Group were collaborating to bring an NBA team to Las Vegas. However, they would probably move forward with the Las Vegas proposal if the Celtics trade went through.

JPMorgan and BDT & MSD partners were recently hired by the Celtics to start the sales process. The rumor that a Laker could become the team’s new owner has infuriated Celtics supporters.
