Friday saw the publication of the Green Bay Packers’ launch ratings for Madden 25, the next installment in EA Sports’ NFL simulation series. There are a few issues with this initial batch, as one could anticipate.
Initially, the team’s roster included two players who are no longer with the Packers, and 20 players from Green Bay’s current 91-man roster were unable to play. Furthermore, three players—four, if you count the player who is no longer on the team—were assigned to the incorrect position.

Which of these do you believe to be EA’s biggest errors? It’s hard for me to accept that Love is only an 81st overall quarterback. To put it in context, Love, Joe Burrow, and Trevor Lawrence were able to reach the $55 million annual mark on their extensions; Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, on the other hand, is an 88 overall. Jared Goff is 82nd overall and failed to make $55 million a year either. Following Love at 79 overall is Baker Mayfield, who has been on four rosters since the 2021 season and inked an extension for just $33 million annually.
