Liverpool could miss out on three ‘targets’ as club director set to ‘make contact’ over deal

Liverpool has been in talks with a variety of players during the summer transfer window.

Juventus is rumored to be making an offer to Atalanta for Teun Koopmeiners, according to recent reports.

The Reds have been rumored to be interested in the attacking midfielder, who had to withdraw from Holland’s Euro 2024 squad due to an injury, during multiple transfer windows. Koppmeiner’s name has resurfaced after Arne Slot joined Anfield, as they had previously worked together at AZ Alkmaar.
The 26-year-old recorded 15 goals and seven assists in the 2023-24 season as Atalanta were crowned Europa League champions – beating Bayern Leverkusen 3-0 in the final – as well as finishing fourth in Serie A and losing the Copa Italia final to Juventus.

And now, Juve, who are rebuilding their team after Thiago Motto became the head coach, are eager to bring Koopmeiners to Turin. According to Tuttosport, Cristiano Giuntoli, the director of Old Lady, is eager to negotiate with Atalanta over Koopmeiners, who is rumored to be worth €60 million.

Juventus are open to adding centre-back Dean Huijsen to the transfer agreement. The 19-year-old centre-back has also been considered for a move to Liverpool, as the team is in need of a strong defender.

While the family was on their road trip, Michael Olise was preparing to join Bayern Munich. The Crystal Palace forward has been in high demand this summer due to his impressive performance last season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 14 Premier League appearances.

Liverpool showed interest in signing a new player, with many speculating that he could potentially replace Mo Salah, who has one year left on his contract at Anfield. Chelsea were expected to be the top contenders for Olise, but Bayern emerged victorious in the race. The Palace contract includes a release clause of approximately £60 million for the 22-year-old player.
